Powering Hope: Engen Ghana Limited Sponsors Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation’s May Clinic at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

At Engen Ghana Limited (EGL), we believe that by investing in communities and causes that matter, we have the potential to create a significant impact on society, thereby leaving an enduring legacy beyond our immediate scope of operations.

It is no coincidence that we have ‘Leadership’ as one of one core values, and we walked the talk with our visit to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) on Monday, 29th May 2023, for the Engen Ghana-Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF) May Clinic. As the proud sponsor of the Engen Ghana- OIF May Clinic, we believe that our donation will support OIF in its mission to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by OI.

Understanding Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI)
Osteogenesis Imperfecta also known as brittle bone disease, is a genetic disorder characterized by bones that break easily. It affects approximately one in every 20,000, 25000 people, varying in severity from mild to life-threatening. The OIF in Ghana plays a crucial role in the lives of individuals living with OI by supporting their families and finding better treatment options.
Raising Awareness and Education
Beyond our financial support, we recognize the importance of raising awareness about OI and promoting understanding within our communities. As a leader in the oil marketing industry, EGL is committed to creating platforms for dialogue and engagement, to encourage a world that is more inclusive and empathetic towards individuals living with OI. In his address to the OIF and staff of EGL and CCTH, the Managing Director of Engen Ghana Limited, Brent Nartey, stated that “It is our collective responsibility to stand together and pave the way for a future where OI is no longer a barrier, but merely a chapter in a story of triumph”.
Partner of Hope
It is our hope that this act of generosity will serve as an inspiration for other organizations to leverage their resources for the betterment of society. Together, we can create a world where individuals with OI and other rare conditions can thrive and live their lives to the fullest.
