Anniversary Launch and Dinner celebrating 25 years of Dynamism, Resilience, and Sustainable Growth

Thursday, April 6th, 2023, was a night of celebration and reflection. Elegance and panache were on full display as staff and stakeholders of Engen Ghana Limited gathered at the plush Labadi Beach Hotel to celebrate 25 years of Dynamism, Resilience, and Sustainable Growth.  To reflect on the memories and experiences that have shaped us over the years, and to honor the people who have made our journey possible.

Celebrating our journey:

In his opening address, the Managing Director of Engen Ghana Limited, Brent Nartey touched on the challenges that Engen Ghana faced in its early years and the triumphs that have been chalked so far. The first Managing Director of Engen Ghana, Caleb Ayiku also reminisced about the early days of our company and shared nuggets of wisdom needed to maintain the culture of excellence that has characterized our operations since its inception. It was also a night to honor the people who made our journey possible-our employees, customers, and partners. Eight employees were honored with long service awards and Joseph Awuku was adjudged the employee of the year. The recipients of the longest-serving dealer and partner went to Mr. Felix Asare-Mensah and Mr. Kojo Norman respectively.

Highlights of the evening:

Mocoh Group CEO, Guy Hacking in his address, reminded all present that “Our success lies in the strength of our partnerships and collaborations, and our mutual ambition to add value and have a positive impact”. Solidarity messages were also delivered by the South African High Commissioner, H.E. Grace Mason, the Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMC) CEO, Mr. Kwaku Agyeman-Duah, and Dr. Sheila Addo on behalf of the NPA. They admonished our team to continue with our legacy of innovation, excellence, and customer-centered service. The evening was a reminder of the power of teamwork, perseverance, and determination, as the Deputy Minister of Energy, Herbert Krapa reiterated the government’s commitment to “continue to formulate policies that support the industry’s operations, enabling it to provide essential energy services to the country at large”. The MC for the night, Jerry Adjorlolo wowed guests with his delectable sense of humor. The music churned out by Lumina and the Blacklace band made a memorable evening more enjoyable.

Conclusion:

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue our legacy and build on the foundation we’ve created over the past 25 years.
