Engen Ghana supports OIF

The best way of living is giving

As part of our ongoing corporate social investment (CSI) activity, Engen Ghana is delighted to announce that we have recently begun supporting the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation Ghana.

The genetic disorder Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as Brittle Bone Disease, affects approximately one in 20,000 infants and is characterised by fragile bones that break easily and often with no obvious cause or injury.
Improving livelihoods and benefiting wider society is at the heart of Engen Ghana’s corporate social investment (CSI) policy and our long-standing principle is: ‘the best way of living is giving’.

“At Engen Ghana our corporate social responsibility (CSR) focus is on children with health conditions. Our goal is to help create equal opportunities for them to grow, develop and eventually contribute to society at large,” explains Engen Ghana Managing Director Brent Nartey

“Its mission to improve the quality of life of people living with OI in Ghana – concentrating on education, awareness creation, treatment and mutual support – makes OIF a natural partner for Engen Ghana. We are delighted to be able to support and bring hope to young, disadvantaged members of our community.”

Engen Ghana also supports Operation Smile, a non-profit mission that provides medical and surgical support to children born with cleft palates. Our eight-year partnership with the charity includes fueling the buses that transport Operation Smile patients from across the country to dedicated medical centers.
