Matthew Korankye is a seasoned finance professional with over nine years of expertise spanning accounting, auditing, financial management, and taxation. He has been an integral part of the Engen Ghana team, previously serving as Deputy Finance Manager and Senior Accountant.

During this time, he oversaw critical functions such as financial reporting, general ledger accounting, cash flow analysis, budget preparation, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Before joining Engen, Matthew worked with Crowe Veritas, where he held positions including Audit Supervisor. He led audit engagements across various sectors, including oil and gas, shipping, manufacturing, and NGOs, and was instrumental in improving audit quality and efficiency by optimizing internal controls and financial processes. His career began with the Ghana Audit Service, where he gained valuable experience in public-sector accounting and compliance.

Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and a proud member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and has been recognized as the Overall Best Student in Taxation (ICAG Level II) in 2012.

With his strategic mindset, deep understanding of financial systems, and commitment to operational excellence, Matthew is well-equipped to lead the finance function at Engen Ghana Limited and contribute to its growth and success.

Stephen has held positions of Finance Lead at Puma Energy (OMC) and Blue Ocean Limited (BDC) then transitioned finally into Financial Controller (Deputy Finance Manger) where he developed a good knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry.

Prior to that, he worked with Ernst & Young (EY) as an audit assistant manager in the Audit and Assurance service line where he led various audit engagements especially in the Mining and Oil and Gas Industries. He was also part of the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team in EY which ensured that companies reported accurately based on the International Financial Reporting Standards and provided consultancy and training services to firms.

He is a chartered accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK and has been in the accounting profession for 8 years. He is a member of the ACCA
